DAMN takes Tactical Medicine and adds to it by providing preemptive solutions to the problems that operators face in the real world. Tactical medicine has focused on bullets and bandages, DAMN’s concept of Operational Medicine is that preparation for trauma starts with fitness, training, and integration of not just emergency medical information into the tactical environment, but how the operator cares for himself as a weapon system, and how the mission commander uses the information that is available to him to help accomplish his team’s mission.
